Bollywood stars are finally getting noticed globally. Starting with none other than Amitabh Bachchan followed by Aishwarya Rai, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hritik Roshan are all rubbing shoulders with Hollywood greats at the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London. Now it is Kareena Kapoor who will receive this honour.
The latest Bollywood addition to Madame Tussauds will be the Kapoor girl, Kareena.
However, her wax statue will be the only Bollywood figure in Blackpool as all the other five Bollywood celebrities are housed in the Madame Tussauds Museum in London.
Apart from the uncovering of her wax figure in October 2011, Kareena Kapoor will also flag off an international exhibition of the Bollywood wax figures, which will be showcased in six different cities across the world, considering the popularity of Bollywood in the global arena. Cities will include London, Hong Kong and Bangkok among three others.
A happy Kareena commented, “It is a great honour and joy to have my wax model at Madame Tussauds and an even greater privilege to be hoisting the start of a global Bollywood exhibition.”
We can’t wait to see what her wax model looks like when it is done!
